13:40:04: Slowly competitors from the veterans group start to appear at the finish line. One male competitor was extremely happy with his performance. After seeing his result he joyfully shouted âYEY!!â

12:49:09: Artur Jackiewicz from Poland has taken 3-rd place in elite group. He is soaked in sweat. He looks like he just stepped out from the shower :)
12:45:52: There was an accident on route. Lithuanian competitor (probably from the elite group) has broken his leg. Ambulance was called.

The finish line has been already crossed by some 20 cyclists. First men was a competitor from Germany (M17)and first woman Julita Linowska (GO JULITA!!)
11:12:50: According to Karol Kalsztein todays route should be much easier - itâs not only shorter but the terrain is less hilly. Surely the competitors will be happy to know this!
11:06:10: Competitors awaiting their start lazily lie down on the grass next to the lodge. Some say that they feel a bit tired after yesterdayâs long distance. The route was quite difficult, so much so some female competitors have vomited on route.
10:45:08: They have a truly great weather and surroundings - not cloud in the sky, refreshing breeze, reach greenery of the forest around and of course âŚ steep slopes of the Tricity Landscape Park .

15:28:48: Just 22 competitors are still on the route, but order on the 'box' (podium) is already clear and will not chagne.
15:25:57: We have a winner of Elite group! Beat Schaffner from Switzerland has beaten Poliforov by 55 sec. His total time is 116,15. The third place was taken by a Dane, 2 minutes ahead of Swiss pal.
15:22:08: Anto Foliforov (Russia) just passed the finish line, strict top of the Elite group.
15:20:30: There are 329 competitors in total, so there left just few. Those who have direct access to time results over last check points are saying that competiton is very, very hard, every second counts.
14:59:16: 272 competitors already crossed finish line. One man arrived with all legs covered by mud. It's his deep secret where he found this amount of mud in such a sunny day.
14:42:29: Men elite is still deep in the forest, passing over the check points.
14:38:54: Sky is still completely clear, but some wind got started to whisper between eagerly green leaves. Green and blue are in contrast to colorful t-shirts of competitors. Among them I noticed numerous in vivid red t-shirts with familiar white word 'Harpagan'. It's name of one of the hardest challenge for all bikers, competition oriented tour organized twice each year at Pommerania region, North Poland.
14:27:29: The last competitor from M70 cathegory just passed the finish line.
14:27:02: Around the finish line now we can feel positive vibes, it's like at big joyful picnic. The majority of competitors are now sitting on the grass, feeding themselves with energetic beverages and food, sharing with their thoungts and refreshing if possible.
14:16:49: There are in total a little bit more than 300 competitors.
14:13:23: But some are still fighting with themselves, time, map, weather, tiredness... We wish you everything the best!

14:05:29: The idea was that strongest competitors in each cathegory started as one of the last, so they could chase the previous one.
14:02:28: Competitors were given with the maps. Now they can verify their choices, compare to others ect.
13:25:45: The competitors were just released from islolation zone. As soon as maps will be sorted out, we give them back to competitors, so it'll be possible to them to analyze the route.
13:24:21: Some of the competitors complain that difficulties over the route are excessive. Perhaps they expected some moderate terrain so close to a sea coast. Well, it's hard to bring all things to all people :-)
13:21:03: The finish line was just crossed by Robert Banach, second in "elite" cathegory.
13:19:35: Interesting detail: at finish line just arrived woman competitor, who was willing to start in cathegory W60, but there was no othe woman to compete with, so she decided to start in W50 cathegory :-)

12:57:51: Finish line was just crossed by the first men competitor belonging to age group over 70 years, Ryszard Bykowski from Poland. Congratulations :-)
12:56:14: At chip reading point computer failed because of overheating. It shows clearly how warm is here, especially in open sun conditions. For sure it's not the weather competitors dreamt of.
12:54:37: It starts to be crowded at the finish line. There froms a quenue to chip reading point and a point where it's required to leave a map. At isolation zone it's now 'snuggy' ;-)
12:51:48: Those who've finished are asking for a kind of a shop. They would like to buy something to drink and eat, but here only water is available. We are in the forrest, but organizer promised to look around for something suitable. Maybe one of you have a portable shop? You are welcome :-)

12:47:27: Sun dries off bodies of competitors without mercy, so next tent was open for those who just passed finish line.
12:46:01: One of the most challenging part of the competition is proper or even optimal planning of the route. Three issues are crucial: choosing the best route, precise orientation and of course speed.
12:43:05: Couple of minutes ago at finish line accident took place. One of the woman competitors has fallen off her bike. She calls for medical help. On her head is visible sharp wound. Rescuer takes care of her.
12:38:43: The competitors gathered at isolation zone will stay there 2 hours more. Some of them ask for water. They are tired.
12:36:03: Next woman arrived to the finish line without her map. She said that it was lost at last checking point. Shit happens...
12:32:55: Aleksiej Kuzmin takes care of proper procedures. He keeps his eye on everything.
12:32:19: After passing the finish line competitors have to leave maps and are gathered at so called isolation zone. The purpose of this zone is to stop competitors from exchange of any information with those who haven't started yet.
12:27:28: Finish line was just crossed by Natalia Dumova from Russia. Her bicycle has failed unfortunately.
12:26:00: More and more competitors arrive to destination point. Most of them are men belonging to different age cathegories.
12:23:41: Competitors are complaining because there are sections where it's impossible to ride and only jogging is possible. From our point of view it proves well prepared route. Nothing to be bored :-)
12:17:00: Krystof Bogar from Czech Republic just arrived, starting in age group of men up to 17 years old, one of the favorites.
12:14:11: The competitors riding over finish line are sweaty and little bit dirty, but it doesn't satisfy all fans. For future tournaments they demand big puddle just before a finish line, to provide more extreme experience to all.
12:09:35: And now the next woman, this time from Hungary, number 255.
12:08:49: We welcome the first woman who crossed finish line, Julita Linowska (daughter of our RwM friends - Darlin and Iwona). Congratulations!
12:05:43: Finish line was crossed by Rasmus from Danmark. Unfortunately his efforts were finished with broken saddle resulting witl little bit less comfortable ride ;-)
12:04:20: Na metę przyjechali już pierwsi dwaj zawodnicy z Francji oraz Austrii. Obaj z grupy mężczyzn, z różnych kategorii wiekowych. Po przejeździe trasy zawodnicy muszą oddawać mapy w punkcie sczytywania chipów.
Finish line was just passed by the first competitors from France and Austria. Both men, from different age cathegories. They have to leave maps at time supervision chip point where their chips are read.
12:00:31: The majority of all competitors already passed special point, where they can pick up beverages before next part of the route.
11:54:51: At the finish line and the whole race procedure is supervised by Mr. Aleksiej Kuzmi, representative of IOF (International Orienteering Federation).
10:58:05: Organizer have prepared the routes having in mind the highest challenge leves as it should be in Cup kind contest. Of course the whole route was approved by responsible officials. There are some surprises. Steep approaches as well as rapid downhills over Tricity Landscape Park. Todays sharp sunshine is not ally of bikers. Some of them already asked where can they leave water bottles to be filled up before second run.
10:46:34: The fastest competitors will reach the finish line in about half an hour. Is it fast? Taking into consideration hilly surrounding terrain, for average 'weekend' bicycle rider it's close to a speed of light.
10:42:47: The competitors starting Junior Europe Cup and Youth European Cup as well as Polish Cup and Pommerania Cup will take classic distance.
10:39:14: Puchar Świata ma dziś do pokonania dystans klasyczny (najdłuższy ma 30 km), natomiast zawodnicy Mistrzostw Świata Weteranów jadą dziś na dystansie długim.
Those who start today in World Cup have to take classic distance (the longest has 30 km) and Vet World Cup competitors will take a long distance.
10:36:00: What can we expect today? For many competitors this is the most importand day of the whole contest. After yesterday training, today for the first time at start line are present World Cup competitors as well as Vet World Cup.

16:51:39: 170 at the finish line ,the rest still fighting. An English competitor says he loves Polish forests and tracks

16:46:52: The speed was so fast, many made a few mistakes, now say if it'd been slower, they wouldn't have made them. It's all about speed and map reading and looking for check points hidden sometimes in the grass
16:40:44: The M70 category member says it's flat but fast and demanding, orienteering is the key
16:38:27: The M60 cyclists say you have to watch out all the time for check points, it's extremely fast track
16:36:39: The maps have been carefully prepared, the contestants don't complain about it
